Game B Question
Hi GM, I have a question for you regarding the “no truces” rule. There is a long history of players from opposing alignments working together (or at least without hostilities) to achieve their objectives. Is this what this rule is meant to stop? In Game B we are embarking on an ambitious program to establish and hold gigantic bubbles (more than 50 sectors). We have identified 3 of them and intend to take them all as our end game. In two of the bubbles we intend to take over, there are existing traders making their homes. We want to offer them a choice but we want to make sure none of those choices will run afoul of the “no truces” rule. 1. If they aren’t able to move their planets we will trade sectors with them. We have several small bubbles outside of the area we intend to take. If they have 5 planets in a sector, we will give them a sector with 5 planets of equal or greater level. 2. (And only one trader will be allowed to take option 2) the trader turns evil, keeps their planets and robs the ports that we are going to load with credits. They pay us for protection and rent for their sectors. 3. We forcibly evict them. We don’t want to do this but if the rules give us no other choice that’s what’s going to happen. What are your thoughts?
